To Aldersly residents and their families:
Federal, state and local governments continuously release updated plans to reopen the economy. As a resident and family of our community, I want to keep you apprised of our approach to reopening Aldersly. You may recall, from the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, senior living facilities like Aldersly were the first to close and we plan to be the last to reopen.
We are all anxious to resume our daily activities, yet we must be steadfast in protecting the health and safety or our loved ones. When reopening our community, we’ll follow a three-phased approach. Decisions for each phase will be based on:
1. State and regional criteria showing a downward trend
2. Advice from public health officials
3. Health status of our community
As we move from phase to phase, it may be necessary to revert to a previous phase or modify precautionary measures should we experience an increase of the coronavirus in our county or threat to our community. We will be very thoughtful in our process and ask for your continued support.
Our team will monitor the situation, evaluate information, and consider reducing our precautionary measures as soon as possible. In the upcoming weeks, Aldersly will continue to follow the heightened precautionary measures currently in place. We will restrict visitors, screen employees, wear face coverings and practice physical distancing, in addition to other precautions.
On May 28th, I will be hosting a ZOOM video conferencing meeting at 4pm to discuss our reopening strategy. The ZOOM meeting ID is 503 051 8142. Please watch for additional information regarding the status of our community that will be shared via our VoiceFriend messaging system and on here on our website.
We’re looking forward to the day when we can resume our lives as a community and gather with our friends again.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Aldersly Executive Director
