Dear Aldersly Family,
We are sending you this message to make you all aware that several Aldersly employees have tested positive for COVID-19. They are currently self-quarantining at home and we are wishing them a safe recovery!
We are unsure if the exposure of these staff members was at Aldersly because of the different shifts and different departments they worked, but we are conducting our procedures as if they were exposed at the community. The Health Center and Assisted Living have been exposed to these staff members and we are using contact tracing to test the Independent Living residents who had potential exposure. Rapid Testing will be conducted daily on staff and all of the residents in the areas will be tested. As stated before, we are treating this as an outbreak and limiting access to these areas. Construction in the Rosenborg building will also be halted. More information will be communicated as test results are received.
Our policies will change to reduce any potential exposure to residents and staff that have not been exposed. I have continuously communicated the importance of keeping our residents and employees healthy and safe. Now, more than ever, all people should be following the mandated Shelter-in-place orders, still use face coverings, follow proper physical distancing and conduct frequent hand washing.
All visitations will be closed in the Assisted Living and Health Center. The Conference Room will not be available through the end of the year.
When possible and appropriate, we will send out additional communication via our VoiceFriend portal. Thank you for understanding. Stay safe and healthy and please stay home.
