Coronavirus Update 4.2.21

Dear Aldersly Family and Friends,

The staff and I would like to wish you all a very Happy Easter weekend. We hope that you stay safe while spending time with family and friends or enjoying the Spring season.

As we move into this weekend, we feel the need to ask you to please continue to practice good COVID-19 precautions when you travel or spend time with family and friends. We ask that you continue to wear your masks, physical distance and stay outdoors as much as possible. Though the numbers are looking better, please remember that California just opened vaccine availability to people 50 and older on April 1, 2021. Very few people outside of Aldersly, including about 15% of all Californians, are fully vaccinated. So, we must continue to remain careful.

It has been an exciting to see more family and friends coming on campus for visits. We will continue to ask that any visitors who want to visit in the apartments show proof of being > 2 weeks past the completed vaccinations. Visitors must come to the front office to sign in, show their cards and sign a COVID-19 Risk Acknowledgment & Waiver. At this time, friends and family are still not allowed in the common areas of Aldersly such as the Dining Room and outside seating areas. We do ask that when visiting you continue to wear masks and practice social distancing. Non-vaccinated friends and family can visit with residents in the visitation area by the front office.

We will no longer require a 14-day quarantine when residents travel off campus or out of state. Please continue to practice safe COVID-19 protocols while you are away. Masks are still mandated in California and we recommend physical distance when possible and to avoid prolonged exposure with any unknown person for more than 15 minutes.

The staff and I continue to be very grateful for everyone’s ongoing support as we move towards better times.
